The O.M.C (Original Mecha Contest) is a worldwide online competition challenging artists and hobbyists to create their very own mech. Participants can use almost any material to create their entries. The rules for the contest have been translated into many different languages to allow participants from all around the world to take part. The contest rewards it’s participants with prizes that are provided by sponsors, Kamm (the creator of the event) and donations from members of the community. Each year three O.M.C Droid model kits are awarded to the top three winners of the Main Division (See below). There is also one limited edition trophy available in the Pro Division.

The artwork for the contest was created by Gavin Manners a senior concept artist based in the United Kingdom. Gavin’s artwork is wonderfully inspiring and I encourage anyone seeking motivation for this contest to visit and follow his page.

The trophies were 3d sculpted and turned into a model kit by Paul Beards a freelance artist based in the United Kingdom who specialises in CG and 3D art. Paul is an incredibly talented individual and without his hard work and dedication this contest would not be the same. Kamm meticulously 3D prints the trophies, ensuring an unparalleled level of precision and top-notch quality.

Please support these two artists by visiting and following their pages.
