What is the start and end time for the contest?

1st February 2024 to October 31st 2024

What can I use to build my entry?

Almost anything with a few exceptions.

  • Any model kit/material can be used.

  • Scratch building and/or kit bashing is encouraged

  • 3D printing is allowed although restricted to a maximum of 15% of your final creation.

  • If using a model kit as a base it shouldn’t be easy to identify the base kit.

  • Simply detailing a pre-existing model kit does not fit the theme of the contest

Can I enter a build that is already finished?

No. There is an entry pass system which requires you to show the entry pass during the building process of your entry.

How will my entry be judged?

There is no official scoring card for entries. We do not want to inhibit your creativity by set scoring. Instead we would like everyone to push themselves to the best of their ability using all the creative talent they have. Focus on the theme of the contest and create your very own masterpiece that you can be proud of. Scratch building and original design will receive notable favour. Creativity is the main focus of the contest, however, no doubt craftsmanship will also play a role in how judges judge entries, so please put forth your best work.

Can I build a vignette, diorama or base for my entry?

Yes you can. The judging will be predominantly on your mech but you will not be penalised for having the above. You will also not be penalized for lacking the above either.

Can I enter a drawing, 3D sculpture or other form of art?

No. This competition requires participants to build theirs mechs to create a physical entry.

How do I enter?
